Competitive game playing has gone from rare to an established trend in a very short time, even having multiple leagues in the U.S. and Canada. ECA® supports the professional gaming community and works with the eSports athletes, teams and leagues (a cross-section of which can be found below):
• Electronic Sports League (ESL)
• IGN Pro League (IPL)
• Major League Gaming (MLG)
• North American Star League (NASL)

We also recently announced the formation of a Pro Gaming Chapter, headed up by Dave "Walshy" Walsh, considered by many to be one of the best, and certainly one of the most popular, pros. Like our other chapters, participation is voluntary and you can get as involved as you like. The only requirement is that you be an ECA® member in good standing.

It's our intention to get much more involved with the eSports community and enable them to have their voices heard, issues addressed and supported in the same way our other chapters and members are. And with general interest in pro gaming and sponsorships with major brands and companies, we'll also be of help however possible. One such initiative is acting as a facilitator between gamers and teams who are looking for sponsors and the brands and companies that are interested in sponsoring.
